Talk about a memorable elopement wedding day! Kandice and Daniel’s Estes Park Resort wedding was one for the books. These two were visiting from out-of-state and they were sure troopers because I know the weather wasn’t what they envisioned for their winter wonderland wedding portraits. We didn’t have any snow, but a whole lot of wind! This was seriously one of the windiest wedding days I have ever shot. That was not without its challenges. These two weren’t letting anything ruin their day though. In the end, I was thrilled with the images we were able to capture together.
Some other memorable parts of Kandice and Daniel’s elopement included their self-solemnizing ceremony in the living room of their rental cabin. Talk about intimate. It was me, and the two of them…that’s it! Kandice’s blue, ombre bridal skirt was a real show stopper! Definitely one of the most unique bridal looks I have ever photographed. Daniel looked very dapper in his black coat, cowboy boots and hat. I especially liked how strong he looked standing amongst the sharp, frozen icicles on the lake’s edge.
This is definitely one of my favorites from Kandice and Daniel’s Estes Park Resort wedding. I love the movement in her skirt, the sunshine streaming down over the mountain, and the beautiful scenery around them!
Kandice and Daniel, I hope the first (almost) year of marriage has been full of celebration, adventures, and a whole lot of love! Thank you for allowing me to capture these wedding photos for you. And thank you for embracing the crazy weather and rolling with the punches. I hope you love these photos and will cherish them for many years to come! Up next on the blog is something new for me!
