Paige + Jeff | Loveland Colorado Wedding Photography | Lake Loveland

Happy December friends! Today I am bringing you Paige and Jeff’s Longmont and Loveland Colorado wedding photography. The story of working with these two is a bit of a unique one. Paige reached out less than two weeks before their wedding, as things fell through with their original photographer. A high school friend, Mandy, mentioned my name to Paige, so she immediately reached out. Technically I was booked on the day, but with a short, early afternoon first birthday party for my longtime clients. I didn’t want to bail on them, and explained this to Paige. We worked out an interesting agreement where I hired an associate photographer to shoot the getting ready photos and the ceremony photos on my behalf, and then I got there as soon as I can. There was a bit of a risk with this, but I made it just before the ceremony recessional. My associate and second photographers did an amazing job, and all worked so smoothly!

Paige and Jeff had their wedding ceremony at The Heart of Longmont church. That is the same church where Jeff’s parents got married, so that was very important for them to have it there. After the ceremony, and family photos at the church we headed to Loveland. I suggested Lake Loveland for the bulk of their wedding portraits. It is super pretty, and only about 10 minutes from their reception venue, The Garden Room. There was a huge spring snowstorm the night before their wedding, so that caused some stress. You could never even tell from these photos though, as the sun was out and it looked way warmer than it actually was. I love the sandy beach photos, they gave us slight beach vibes 🙂

This is one of my favorites from Paige and Jeff’s Loveland Colorado wedding photography. Those beautiful blue skies, that tender moment, and that awesome, flowy dress! Loved it!

We finished their event at The Garden Room. I had not shot here before, and it was a fun, convenient space. All of the mirrors were a challenge at times, but I think we got some great stuff for them. Some of my favorite parts of Paige and Jeff’s wedding included Paige’s beautiful, flowy wedding dress. It fit her amazingly well. I also love how they incorporated sunflowers into their big day. Sunflowers are an important symbol for Paige. And finally I loved the donut wall at their reception, and the fact that Paige got on stage and sang with the band during the reception. That was a first for me…she killed it! Bravo Paige!

Here are some of Paige and Jeff’s responses:

What was your most anticipated part of the day?
It was seeing each other. We chose to not see one another but we both have said how hard that was. The second we both saw each other, it was like we knew all over again.

Did anything unexpected happen? What was the outcome?
Ha well there was a giant blizzard the night before. So that was a tad stressful. But other than that we didn’t expect it to be so perfect. Actually the month before our original photographer quit and then found the best photographer, you. You made our day perfect! (Awww…thanks you guys!!)

What advice would you give to future couples for their wedding?
Cherish it. It does really go by too fast.

Tell me about some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them!
We loved our bouquets. Sunflowers are a symbol for me.
