Drea + Nate | Loveland Couples Portraits | Bobcat Ridge Natural Area

Happy Monday! I hope this week flies by for all of us…I am ready for another weekend already! Today’s post is a really good one, Drea and Nate’s Loveland couples portraits at Bobcat Ridge. These two are 1982 babies like me, and they wanted a photoshoot to celebrate their 40th birthdays this spring. We did these a bit before their birthdays though, so they could display the images at their party. Aside from the upcoming birthdays, it’s just always a good time for nice couple’s portraits with your significant other.

Bobcat Ridge Natural Area is always a great choice for a photoshoot location. I love the variety in provides! Rustic, historical buildings, mountain views, some red rock formations, and large, mature trees. Speaking of variety, they had three outfits for their session, and included their beloved pup! Needless to say, we got a lot of great shots.

Drea started in a pink dress, with a cute button down details. Nate was casual in a light blue shirt and jeans. Next, Drea changed into black jeans and neutral striped top. Nate wore jeans and a short-sleeved black, button down shirt. With the final outfit, they go a little dressy! Drea had a LBD (little black dress for those that don’t know the term!), with an adorable back cut out detail. Nate ended the session in black pants and a nice blue, button down shirt. They are a stunning couple, and I was thrilled with how these images turned out.

This is definitely one of my favorites from their Loveland couples portraits.I just love the laughs and joy during this fun, candid moment!

I have actually known Drea for about twelve years. We met and became online friends while planning our weddings on the site Project Wedding. We then met in person a few times, she came to my second bachelorette party with some of the other “PW girls”. She also made a bouquet for me to use for a “trash the dress” photoshoot I did a month after my wedding. I had the privilege of photographing her (and Nate) too, when I traveled to Wyoming for a family session at Drea’s parents’ house. You can see those images HERE. It was so wonderful to catch up again after all of these years for this fun session! I hope you two had an incredible 40th birthday celebration.
