Genevieve – Class of 2023 | Boulder Colorado Senior Portrait Photography | South Mesa Trail

In September I ended up having back surgery, after being in pain for nearly a year. I had tried EVERYTHING to treat it without surgery, but nothing worked for me. Just before Genevieve’s Boulder Colorado senior portrait photography session I slipped a disc in my back that landed me in the ER. I was put on bedrest for awhile and unable to shoot the session. Well normally I would just reschedule a portrait session. Genevieve and her family were only here for a short time visiting from North Dakota. Since I had already photographed her brother’s senior session and they trusted my expertise, I set them up with an associate photographer. This is someone representing Plum Pretty Photography and capturing the images on my behalf. Then I edited the images to be consistent with my other work. While it’s not an ideal situation, and I was bummed to not see them again, Lea Ann did an amazing job! I loved the images she captured. More importantly…so did Genevieve and her family!

For Genevieve’s class of 2023 session we settled on South Mesa Trail. A lot of clients pick this location, but it’s really great! South Mesa offers a ton of variety between mountains and flatirons views, lots of trees, rustic buildings, and even some wildflowers during a few months of the year. Genevieve wore three different outfits for her session…she looked amazing! She started in a light blue, floral dress. That went so well with the green grass and vibrant purplish pink wildflowers. Next she changed into white jeans, wedge shoes, and a gorgeous turquoise blue intricate lace top. This was my personal favorite of all the outfits. That color of top was so pretty and complimented Genevieve’s red hair so well.

This is definitely one of my favorites from Genevieve’s Boulder Colorado senior portrait photography session. Love that pose, the great flatirons views, and that fierce, sassy expression!

Thanks so much Genevieve and especially Lea Ann Byrne for saving my butt on a few occasions this year with my back issues. Hopefully these issues are behind me…pun intended LOL!
