Sam is on the blog today. He and his family were renting a cool, modern AirBnb between Boulder and Blackhawk. They wanted to capture photos on the property while they were visiting. So, not only did I take Sam’s Colorado mountain senior portraits, but also some family photos with his parents and younger sister. It probably comes as no surprise that many teen guys do not like to be in front of the camera! Sam was not like that though, and it was quite refreshing. He even had four outfits and added in his guitar for some more personalized photos. I think perhaps he even enjoyed it!
I am extremely grateful for how much the senior side of my business has grown in the past two years! In just the past few years I have had the pleasure of photographing nearly 100 senior portrait sessions. That has to be more than the other eight years of my business combined. It’s awesome, because these are some of my favorite sessions to capture. It’s such an important time in these students’ young lives, and so worth documenting.
This is definitely one of my favorites of Sam’s Colorado mountain senior portraits!
Sam really wanted to channel Matthew Mcconaughey in some of these suit shots….I think he nailed it! That effortless “cool guy” look into the distance. Alright, alright, alright!! Haha, just kidding.
Thanks again Sam, I had a great time with you and your sweet family! I hope senior year (in a pandemic!) was a wonderful experience. And I hope you are enjoying your freshman year of college. Hopefully you are making time for yourself and things you enjoy, like playing your guitar. Perhaps I can photograph you all again someday during another Colorado mountain vacation.
