The Chateau Family | Morrison Family Photos | Mount Falcon East

Today on the blog I am bringing you the lovely Chateau family. Don’t you just love that last name?! So fancy 🙂 I have worked with Jessie and Chris before for an epic Estes Park session when they were just dating. In a few short years since then they have gotten engaged, married, and had their first baby. During this session they rode around in a canoe on Lake Estes and threw snowballs at the top of Trail Ridge Road. It was sure a fun and memorable time. I was excited to work with them again just before little Finn’s first birthday. They suggested Mount Falcon East for their Morrison family photos. This location is really close to their house, so that made it really convenient for them. It was a super sunny evening, and we got some beautiful images together.

I have shot at Mount Falcon East a few times over the years. More often I shoot at Mount Falcon West. While they are technically the same park, it’s a very long hike between them. It is also a 20+ minute drive between Morrison and Indian Hills. Both sides of the park are great…but very different! Mount Falcon East offers some cool rock formations, distant views of Red Rocks, foothills, and open golden fields. It worked wonderfully for the Chateau family’s session.

They kept things simple with one outfit each. They sure looked amazing though! Jessie has done some modeling before. This is actually how I first met her, at a bridal show where she was modeling. Needless to say, she looks gorgeous in anything she puts on! She had a long, floral dress, with slight boho vibes. Chris went neutral with jeans and a long sleeve button down shirt. Finn looked ADORABLE in a dark teal, corduroy jumper with the cutest little tan booties. He was such a photogenic baby! It didn’t hurt that grandma came along to help get some smiles and giggles out of him.

This is one of my favorites from these Morrison family photos at Mount Falcon. I love the way mama is looking at her precious babe, and the way the sun is just peeking over the foothills. Aren’t they so cute?!

Thanks Chateau family! It was great to work with you again, and to meet precious baby Finn. They grow up SO fast…my kiddo is about to be 6! So I hope you will cherish these moments for years to come.
