Catherine – Class of 2023 | Brainard Lake Senior Photos | Colorado Mountain Photographer

Catherine’s Brainard Lake senior photos was one of my favorite senior sessions from the class of 2023! I just love this location. Then add in a gorgeous, sweet young lady, with such stylish outfits…perfection! We ended up with an absolute ton of photos with really great variety. It’s a bit of a haul getting up to Brainard Lake and it’s hard to get an accurate prediction of what the weather is like up at that higher elevation. Sometimes it’s been great down in Boulder County, but super windy and chilly once we made the trek up Left Hand Canyon. This was a gorgeous, calm, fall day. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and photography conditions.

Catherine had several outfits. We had to use every last minute of sunlight, be we managed to get them all in. We started by the river, with this tiny little waterfall. Catherine wore a simple LWD! That is a “little white dress” and seems to be the most popular choice for high school senior girls. We didn’t spend a lot of time by the river, because we wanted to get a ton at the lake. But I love the images we captured at this hidden gem in the forest! Her first outfit at the lake was a pastel pink dress with cute shoulder ties. She decided to dip her toes in the water in this dress. I am sure that snow melt water was frigid, but she handled it like a champ. Next, she changed into a vibrant coral body suit with a white denim skirt. This was my personal favorite! Maybe Catherine’s too, since we ended up with a bunch of great shots in this outfit.

This is definitely one of my favorites from Catherine’s Brainard Lake senior photos. Love the scene…mountains, water, bridge, golden sun streaking down. As well as Catherine’s great smile and flowing brunette locks. So pretty!

The last outfit at the lake was cropped jeans and a black spaghetti strap body suit. She kept this on when we drove over to our final stop for her senior session. We finished up with her posing in front of the colorful fall foliage, in a beautiful aspen grove. Catherine’s plan after graduating high school later this year is to attend the University of Colorado Boulder. My own alma matter…go buffs! She threw on a buffs sweatshirt for a few final shots along the tree-line road. She made it a little more fashionable by folding it under, in order to create a cropped sweatshirt. I personally couldn’t pull it off, but she sure did! So adorable!
