Meet Aiden! I have known this young man for many years now, as I went to high school with his wonderful mama. I have also photographed he and his family on more than one occasion over the years. Unfortunately, because of my back surgery I had to find an associate shooter for this Longmont senior portrait session. My friend and photography colleague, Lea Ann, covered these for me. I did all of the editing to keep them consistent with my work. It worked out quite well!
Aiden and his mom Christi decided on two locations for his session. They wanted some variety and to incorporate nature as well as a more grungy, urban setting. The session started at Thompson Park in Longmont. There isn’t a ton of variety at this location, but what it does have is a ton of great greenery. There are tons of mature trees and I love the wrought iron arbor with climbing plants all over it. At this location Aiden wore jeans and his Silver Creek High School letterman jacket. As well as a gray sweatshirt and jeans. Teen guys make it so easy with simple, neutral clothing for their sessions…and the quickest outfit changes LOL!
After a handful of great shots at Thompson Park, they headed to the alleyways behind Main Street in downtown Longmont. These are my favorites, because there is so much variety in the colors, textures, and backdrops. They captured photos with colorful wall murals, brick walls, and on multiple staircases. I especially love the vintage wall sign that said “for men and teens”…so retro, and so fitting! For the downtown photos Aiden remained in the jeans and gray sweatshirt at first. Then he changed one more time into a gray button down, but unbuttoned with a navy blue t-shirt underneath. This was a touch more dressy than his other looks, but he still kept it casual with jeans. This was my personal favorite of the three outfits.

This is definitely one of my favorites from this Longmont senior portrait session. I love that whitewashed brick wall, and Aiden’s suave pose and nice smile!

Thanks Aiden and Cristi for your flexibility and understanding regarding my back surgery and recovery. I think Lea Ann nailed these photos. I hope you will love and cherish them for years to come 🙂 On the blog next, the adorable Chateau family’s sun drenched session at Mount Falcon East. Check back very soon!
