Happy Monday all! Hoping you had a fun, cozy winter weekend. A new week…a new blog post! I have known mom Amber since high school at Longmont High. I even captured photos for this family many years ago, back when they were a family of five. It was so wonderful to work with them again! The two oldest are full blown adults already. Oh how time flies! On this evening I captured senior pictures for Mekiel first. Then we got them all in front of the camera for these Denver Colorado family portraits. Cheesman Park worked out well for the session. We got a little fall foliage, lots of flowers and greenery, and of course took advantage of the cool, unique pavilion.
This family is so fun to work with, and they are ridiculously photogenic. I love the mix of playful, candid photos and smiling, posed shots that we managed to capture. We lucked out with a really beautiful evening in Denver. The weather was perfect, and the glowy, golden hour light was picture perfect! Especially when they are posing in grass, or amongst the flower gardens. The Afeworki family kept their outfits simple and neutral. This was just perfect because there was so much color and patterns and textures all over the park. Various shades of greens, browns, blues, and whites photographed beautifully in this nature meets urban Denver setting.
This is definitely one of my favorites from these Denver Colorado family portraits at Cheesman Park. I love this casual seated pose, all of the beautiful greenery, and the amazing golden sunlight! So pretty!
Thanks Afeworki family…I had such a blast working together again! Let’s not take a 7 year break between family sessions this time, ok? LOL! I just like working with you all so much 🙂 Tomorrow on the blog, Alison and Kade’s Lionscrest Manor wedding captured by my wonderful associate photographer Maria. Have a great week ahead!
