Brooke and Ricky + 1 on the way | Evergreen Colorado Maternity Pictures | Evergreen Lake House

New week, new blog post! The first post of the week is Brooke and Ricky’s Evergreen Colorado maternity pictures. I often suggest the Evergreen area for late fall and winter sessions. There are enough evergreen trees there, that it doesn’t have that “dead winter” look that you get at a lot of other locations this time of year. Brooke and Ricky decided on the Evergreen Lake House for their session. It was a very sunny day, and quite mild for late December. This couple was a really fun pair, and have such sweet chemistry together on camera. It was easy to tell how excited they were while awaiting the arrival of their first baby!

Ricky kept it simple with just one basic outfit…jeans and a black jacket. Brooke snuck in one outfit change during the session. She started with a royal blue, mermaid style maternity gown. That was really pretty, and looked great on her. I especially liked the sheer long sleeves. She finished her look with a white rhinestone belt. The second maternity dress was actually one of mine that I offer to maternity clients as part of my “client closet”. Well, not so much a closet, I have nine maternity dresses as of now. So a mini closet perhaps LOL! Brooke was actually the first mama to wear this hunter green, velvet maternity dress. So glad to have some actual shots in this dress instead of the stock Amazon photos. This dress fit Brooke like a glove, and was a really great color on her too. She added her black peacoat here and there with both outfits. Because, although it was a very sunny day, it was still December at 7,000 feet and chilly at times!

Thanks again Brooke and Ricky! I hope your delivery went smoothly, and you are loving parenthood so far. Hopefully these photos will bring back memories from this happy time for years to come.
