Emma and her family were visiting from Ohio, and really wanted a session while they were visiting. We decided on Rocky Mountain National Park for her senior photos in the Colorado mountains. We visited my favorite combo of locations in the park…Sprague Lake and Moraine Park. In the days leading up to her session we had a lot of wind! I was a bit nervous. I have had some extremely windy shoots in RMNP over the years. Needless to say, I was stressing a bit! We had a very narrow window during their trip, so this afternoon was our only chance. Thankfully we lucked out and had nice, mild weather. Emma was very sweet, and I thoroughly enjoyed our time together.
Emma decided on two different outfits for her senior session. She really embraced the cozy, fall mountain vibes! First she wore black pants, a white sweater and black puffer vest. Finished with cute, lacy socks and black boots. After photos on the wooden bridges, dock, bench, and of course with those great mountain lake views, we headed over to Moraine Park. At this location Emma changed into her second outfit. She chose black leggings, black top, with a white and caramel colored, plaid “shacket” over top. If you aren’t familiar with women’s clothing lingo, a shacket is a long “shirt jacket”. This was a great fall choice, and matched so well with the long, golden grasses and the ground shrubs.
This is one of my favorites from Emma’s senior photos in Colorado. I always love this view at Sprague Lake…so pretty! As is Emma’s great smile 🙂
Thanks again Emma. I hope your visit to Colorado was really fun, and that you enjoy these pictures for years to come. Hopefully your senior year is the most amazing and memorable year yet! Next on the blog, Alyssa and Brandon’s Evergreen maternity session from Frosberg Park and the Beaver Brook Reservoir.
