Today on the blog I am sharing these Boulder cap and gown graduation photos of this lovely group. These young ladies were visiting Colorado from South Dakota for a softball tournament. During their visit I captured mountain senior photos for each of them individually. Then, I captured them all together in short white dresses and caps and gowns from their respective schools. These ladies won’t graduate until 2024, so they don’t yet have their official caps and gowns. No problem, they were able to borrow from previous graduates or siblings.
We went to the ever popular, always gorgeous, South Mesa Trail for their photo shoot. Everything was quite green (at least for Colorado). We had been having such a rainy summer, so I was so relieved that we got such a warm, dry evening. We didn’t have a lot of time left after the individual sessions (and some of the ladies needed to get to a show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater), so we stuck with just one area of South Mesa. But this open field with mountain views is totally stunning, so no complaints here! We got some nice variety during this mini session. A mix of smiley posed shots, candids, and a few sassy and playful ones. I doubt these four couldn’t take a bad photo if they tried.
These two are definitely some of my favorites from this beautiful group’s Boulder cap and gown session. I love the connection and pose on the left, and the joy throwing the caps on the right! What a fun session!
Thanks so much ladies. This evening was a complete blast and I am so glad that we got to squeeze this in during your jam-packed softball trip! I am so glad that cap and gown graduation photography sessions are gaining popularity. I hope there will be a lot more of them in my future 🙂 Next on the blog, the awesome Larsen family maternity session at Echo Lake. We got some crazy fog at the end…so cool, be sure to check back!
For another best friend’s cap and gown session, check out Rylee and Lola HERE. That one was super fun too…so full of laughs!
