The Polizzi Family | Golden Family Portraits | Colorado Cake Smash Photos

Today on the blog I am bringing you another session with the Polizzi family. I had the pleasure of photographing them twice this year! Their spring session is HERE, in case you missed them. We did these Golden family portraits and cake smash session just before little Ruby’s first birthday. It was a super sunny day at the Golden History Park and it was packed! But we still managed to get a bunch of amazing stuff with this adorable family. We were all thrilled that we had such beautiful weather, and the colorful fall foliage was starting to appear.

The majority of the session was focused on family photos of the three humans 😉 But we also added their beloved pup into several of the photos. He had joined in their spring session as well. After photos with the mountains, the rustic buildings, with the foliage, and by the river, we moved onto the cake smash photos. We set up a blanket, Kayla and Dan brought a fruit topped cupcake, a wooden cake stand, and a sparkly one. They also had a little wooden circle that said “one year old” on one side, and “first birthday” on the other side. Not only did Ruby sample the cupcake, but she was also gnawing on the wooden sign LOL! A simple setup, as far as cake smash sessions go. But I thought it looked adorable, and Ruby seemed to enjoy herself!

This is definitely one of my favorites from the Polizzi’s Golden family portraits. I love this precious, candid moment, in a beautiful setting!
