Jessie + Dillon | Haxtun Colorado Wedding Photos | Country Wedding Inspiration

A few months back, I drove way up north again (near Nebraska), to shoot another wedding with Sarah Sonnenberg Photography. I was thrilled with the way Jessie and Dillon’s Haxtun Colorado wedding photos turned out. What a gorgeous couple…what an amazing wedding! We started the day as Jessie was finishing her final wedding day preparations at the Haxtun Methodist Church. She made such a beautiful bride. Her bridesmaids couldn’t hold back their tears during her final dress reveal. Soon we headed out so she could finally see her groom, and get the fun started! We drove over to a really cool, rustic barn for the first look with Jessie’s groom, as well as her dad. We captured all of their couple’s portraits here, and the wedding party images as well.

After portraits, we returned to the church for their traditional wedding ceremony. They did a bubble exit outside of the church. Then guests headed over to the Haxtun Community Center for their large reception, that seemed to be probably a third of the their town. They definitely know how to throw a party! Everyone had a great time. I am a detail girl…I had a ton at my own wedding. So I love weddings with a lot of creative and personalized details! They are both into hunting, and so they incorporated antlers into their centerpieces and floral arrangements. I also really liked the large crossword puzzle in front of the bar. That game was trivia all about them as a couple. 215 weddings, and I’ve never seen that. So cute! Their voicemail guestbook was also a really nice touch.

Aside from great details, there was so much to love about Jessie and Dillon’s wedding. After they did their first look, they actually decided to share private wedding vows. This was such a sweet, intimate moment, for just these two. I also loved the wedding party look. The bride’s attendants wore varying shades of reds and oranges, and the junior bridesmaids in a marigold yellow. I love this! Everyone can wear a dress that they feel comfortable and beautiful in. All while sticking with the overall fall color scheme. The guys looked great in jeans, gray jackets, and coral ties.

I love a lot of Jessie and Dillon’s romantic couple’s portraits, so I definitely can’t pick just one favorite! But this intimate moment is up there as a contender from their Haxtun Colorado wedding photos.

Congrats again Jessie and Dillon! It was such a beautiful day. Wishing you an amazing marriage and lifetime together. And thank you Sarah for having me along to photograph these Haxtun Colorado wedding photos. Just one more wedding to capture and then share to wrap up 2023 wedding season! This was a slower year, wedding wise, but I am still always so honored to capture these irreplaceable moments for each and every one of my couples.
