I was actually hired by Jenny to capture these family photos last fall, while she was pregnant with their newest addition. The session had to be postponed. They ultimately decided to hold off a whole year so that they could have photos of their completed family of five. We met up at Golden Ponds Nature Area for their Longmont fall family photos. This is always such a popular location, especially during the fall season. We got photos with the yellow foliage, in front of the waterfall and ponds, on a bridge, and with the mountain views during sunny, golden hour.
This family is just precious! They were referred to me by my wonderful past clients, the Even family. And it turns out they actually live in the same neighborhood as I do…small world! They kept things pretty neutral in blues, grays, and black. The three lovely ladies wore dresses, and the boys wore nice blue button down shirts. These colors looked great against all of the yellows and greens of the scenery. The kiddos made me work for some of these smiles, but I am thrilled with the variety we were able to capture. We got more several traditional, smiley images. As well as a great mix of candid shots. I especially loved the genuine smiles on the children’s faces when throwing leaves in the air, or being thrown in the air themselves! As well as while dancing and snuggling with their awesome family members.

This is definitely one of my favorites from the Rogers’ Longmont fall family photos. Cute expressions from everyone, and I just love that kiss of yellow from the changing trees.

Thanks so much Rogers family! I really enjoyed meeting you all and preserving this moment in time, as a new family of five. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season 🙂 Up next on the blog? Denver senior portraits of the fabulous Ben…check back soon!
