Hello friends! I cannot believe Christmas is less than a week away. Are you ready? I am sharing one more post here on the blog before the holidays and then I am checking out until after the new year. My final share for 2023 is beautiful Sofia. You may remember her brother Dominic’s senior session from a few years back. That was a really fun session, so I was excited to work with Sofia as well. We met up in Boulder for her Holy Family senior portraits. We started out near the popular Pearl Street Mall and the Hotel Boulderado. After we captured a ton of photos in this urban setting, we decided to head up Boulder Canyon to Betasso Preserve. We got a ton of variety there too, taking advantage of every moment of golden hour (and a couple at sunset)!
I am Facebook friends with Sofia’s mom, so I had seen a lot of photos of her prior to our session. I knew what a beautiful, and fashionable young lady she is. Her four great outfits did not disappoint! She decided to do two outfits at each location. Since we didn’t spend as much time downtown, that meant those outfits were a little quicker. But we still got numerous beautiful shots in all four outfits. She started in white jeans, white shoes, and a light green crocheted sweater. Next, she kept on the white jeans and white cropped top, but added a plaid “shacket” (shirt jacket in case you wondered). In the downtown area we got photos in alleyways, with a colorful wall mural, cool brick walls, and even got permission to take photos with a lush, ivy wall behind a local business.
When we got up to Betasso Sofia started in a black corduroy jumper and black Dr. Martens. So funny that Dr. Martens are back in style! Reminds me of the fashions of my early high school days as well. In this outfit she added a cute black hat here and there. As well as adding some colorful wildflowers for a very boho feel. Her fourth and final outfit was my personal favorite. She wore some fun, deep teal velvet pants and a lacy, cropped top, with small pom pom/puffball details. Sofia is very photogenic. As a longtime cheerleader she definitely has that fierce, sassy facial expression down. We did those a lot more than normal, since she nailed it!

This is definitley one of my favorites from Sofia’s Holy Family senior portraits. Cute outfit, beautiful scenery, and I love the sassy pose!

Thanks so much Sofia, it was wonderful to have you in front of my camera. Wishing you all the best with your final semester of high school. Happy holidays to all! Enjoy the beauty and peace of the holiday season. See you back here in 2024!
