The Pettit Family | Mead Colorado Family Pictures | Highland Lake

I think this is the fifth (possibly sixth) year that the Pettit family has participated in my fall mini sessions. They weren’t even expecting their son during the early sessions. Just Nicole and Zach, and eventually their adorable pup! So wonderful to work with them each and every year. Nicole is a photographer too. So it’s definitely an honor to be selected as their photographer each year. My Mead Colorado family pictures were held at Highland Lake this year. The location worked great, and provided a lot of variety in a small, walkable area. We lucked out with a beautiful weekend for these sessions! It was super sunny and warm. You never know what you are going to get in October in Colorado.

Nicole always plans really cute outfits for her and her boys! This year they went with an orange buffalo plaid theme. I especially loved Nicole’s plaid headband. These outfits were very fall, and complimented the golden foliage so well. Connor is sure a character! Sometimes he takes a little while to warm up to me, but it helps that I have a little guy of my own. I could quote some lines from PJ Masks, etc. and that got some genuine smiles out of him.

This is definitely one of my favorites from the Pettit’s Mead Colorado family pictures. They are sure a cute trio! Plus that foliage was in peak, vibrant color.

Thanks so much Pettit family. I hope you love this year’s photos (well I definitely hope that’s true every year!), and will cherish them for years to come. Thank you for inviting me into your lives each fall to preserve this moment in time.
