April already, wow…where does the time go?! My slow, off-season is coming to an end soon. Trying to get these final five blog posts shared before wedding and senior season get going. Today is one of my favorite families, the Laughlins. We met up at Bohn Park for their Lyons Colorado family photography session. It was very mild for mid-December, and we lucked out for some absolutely, gorgeous sunlight. We got a great mix of fun, candid shots, and lots of smiling at the camera portraits. As well as all of the essential family groupings…the bigs, the littles, mom and dad, each kiddo individually.
The Laughlin family went for a comfy, casual winter look. Mostly neutral in gray, black, with a few pops of red. They always look great! And are all so photogenic! Usually little kids are a challenge, but these three have always been quite good at smiling naturally at the camera. Makes things much easier on me. We captured some great photos by the snowy river’s edge and on the cool, curved wooden bridge. After we got all of the portraits they wanted, we ended with some fun! They all threw snow at my camera. Sometimes people are surprised when I suggest this. I, however, always love the end results!
This is definitely one of my favorites from the Laughlin’s Lyons Colorado family photography session. I love that light, flying snow, and and the joy on those lovely faces!
Thanks so much Laughlin family. It has been such an honor to photograph you guys a dozen times for just about a decade now! I have enjoyed watching you add children to your family.
