Cynthia + Nathan | Unique Denver Wedding Inspiration | Wedding Bike Ride

July 31, 2024

I just shared Cynthia and Nathan’s beautiful Denver Museum of Nature and Science wedding. If you missed it, check it out HERE. I headed back to Denver the next morning for their post-wedding gathering and bike ride. This should definitely give you some unique Denver wedding inspiration, because events don’t get much more unique than this. Guests met at City Park, behind the museum the morning after the wedding. They enjoyed delicious coffee drinks and breakfast burritos from the Morning RX Coffee Truck. What a cute little coffee truck, which was once an old ambulance! I tried a Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte before I left for the day. It was a great drink, I enjoyed it very much. Guests also enjoyed mimosas. Adults socialized while the kids played lawn games. Those participating in the bike road decorated their bikes, complete with little bells to ring in celebration.

I love that Cynthia and Nathan kept with the wedding theme for their post-wedding bike ride attire. Nathan had a shirt that had a tuxedo printed on it. The outfit was complete with his groom socks and gray Crocs. Cynthia stole the show! She attached a veil to her white bike helmet. She had a sparkly, white tulle skirt, and added some tulle accents to her top as well. They started out the bike ride with a decorated tandem bike. That first short loop was the most family friendly, past the Pavilion at Denver City Park. The tandem bike had a “just married” sign, ribbons, streamers and fresh flowers in the front basket.

The bike looked adorable, we had to include it in some couple’s portraits before they embarked on the rest of their journey on their own separate bikes.

The next leg of the ride included fewer people, but still a good sized group. I was a little bit nervous after this to be honest! Traffic and parking in Denver can be crazy. I had a couple checkpoints to try and get to, to hopefully capture the bike ride in action. I made it well in advance of the first checkpoint, near Colfax and 14th Avenue. That one worked out wonderfully! The next was right by the Pavilion at Cheesman Park, and that one was much more challenging. Not a lot of parking, so the bicyclists did beat me there by a little bit. But that wasn’t a big issue, as I arrived a few minutes later and we were able to still get a ton of the guests and their bikes.

We finished the post-wedding event with a short couple’s photography session at the Pavilion at Cheesman Park. I love the photos we captured here. What an absolutely fun and unique morning event! As you can clearly tell, Cynthia and Nathan are a really fun couple. It was such a pleasure to capture their gorgeous wedding weekend. I definitely will not forgot this wedding bike ride (or their museum wedding) anytime soon! They kept with their love of bicycling for their honeymoon. They rode their bikes into the Colorado mountains for a quick romantic getaway.
