Jessica and Dave + 1 on the way | Colorado Mountain Maternity Photography | Echo Lake

Back in 2020 Jessica and Dave were married at the Mountain View Ranch in Pine, Colorado. I was so thrilled to hear from them again when they were expecting their first child. We went to Echo Lake for their Colorado mountain maternity photography session. It was an absolutely beautiful evening. I was so happy with the images we created together. It is also so special for me to work with past wedding clients to capture the other important milestones in their lives. It had been over four years since I had seen these two. We caught up on life…families, careers, parenthood, etc. It was a great, relaxed session, full of love and excitement!

Jessica is such a beauty, I knew she would look stunning pregnant as well. I was definitely right! She wore two maternity dresses. They were very different from each other, both very pretty. The first was a light blue, long, lace maternity dress. It complimented the greens and darker blues of the lake and mountain scenery around Echo Lake. Dave wore black pants and a gray button down shirt that went along well with the grayish blue shade of Jessica’s dress.

Next Jessica changed into a show-stopping black tulle maternity dress. This had an open belly, sheer sleeves, and a great bead detail. It was a dramatic piece…I just loved it! For a few images she wore a trendy hat and a black denim jacket with a western motif that said “stay wild”. Dave’s second outfit was dark taupe pants and a black sweater. He wore his hair in a ponytail throughout the session. He had such short hair at their wedding, I didn’t expect his hair to be so long in four years’ time. They looked so great! They are still so photogenic, and made my job so easy 🙂

Thanks so much Jessica and Dave. It was so wonderful to work with you both again. I would love to meet your little one someday and capture some family photos for you as well!
