Today I am sharing Elana’s Prospect Ridge Academy senior photos in Boulder. I believe this is the first student I have worked with from Prospect Ridge Academy. Well, at least the first that I remember. Elana was super photogenic, and really made my job easy. She moved smoothly from pose to pose. I did not have to give her as much instruction as some of my clients. Elana chose two locations around Boulder that both really showed off the iconic flatirons. First, we met up at the always popular Chautauqua Park. It was a gorgeous, warm, sunny evening. At Chautauqua Elana wore four different outfits. She also included her beloved dog, Rocky, into some of the photos at Chautauqua Park. I know she was so glad that she included him, because he suddenly passed away very shortly after the session. Rest easy Rocky!
Elana went quite neutral with all of her outfits at Chautauqua. She started in a long white dress with a pretty lace detail on the bottom half. She paired that with some tan wedge heels. Next, baggy jeans, a black corset top, and some Adidas Samba shoes. It’s funny sambas have come back into fashion, since they were very popular back in the late 90s when I was in high school! Her third outfit was a white crop tank top, cropped jeans, and white Nikes. Finally she ended at this location with a feminine, ivory romper and those tan heels again. She looked beautiful in everything she wore!
The second location was a spot that Elana and her mom suggested. It’s a scenic overlook off of highway 36 near Louisville. It also showed off the flatirons, but with more distant views. We were able to get some pretty sunset colors while finishing the session here. Elana had two new outfits, and she also decided to put on the long white dress for a few more shots at the very end. She started at the second location in beige pants, a dark gray, lacy crop top and her white Nikes. She kept the beige pants on and changed into a floral crop top. We were running out of daylight, so she didn’t spend a lot of time in these final outfits. But I love the photos we did capture together. What a gorgeous session!
This is one of the last of Elana’s Prospect Ridge Academy senior photos and definitely one of my favorites. I love that pose, the sunset skies over the mountains, and Elana’s sassy little smirk! She really rocked her session.
Elana, thanks so much for allowing me to capture your class of 2025 senior session. It was a great evening! I enjoyed getting to know you and photographing this important time in your young life. And again I’m so sorry for your loss. Rocky was a loyal and faithful friend. Keep the memories of him safe in your heart forever!
