Good morning friends, thanks for stopping by my blog today! Today I am taking you back a few months and sharing Amber’s session. We met up at South Mesa Trail in Boulder for her Centaurus High senior photos. I don’t think I have photographed a whole lot of Centaurus students. Hopefully we can change that! If her classmates are anything like her, I am sure their senior sessions would be amazing as well. Amber is very sweet, and she was a lot of fun to have in front of my camera. We got so much great variety during her Boulder session, with several outfits and taking advantage of all the great photo vignettes that South Mesa Trail offers.
One thing that was very unique about Amber’s personal style is that she paired adorable socks with each of her outfits. She started in a black and white floral dress, with ruffle edged socks to match. In this outfit with took photos in a sun-drenched mountain field, as well as against the wooden fence with flatirons in the background. Next Amber wore a maroon layered dress with, you guessed it, ruffle socks in the same color. These were so cute with little white dots. Amber’s third outfit was jeans and a vibrant, dark orange sweater. That was giving major fall vibes! For the photos on the bridge and with the fall foliage Amber changed into another sweater. This black, white, gray and gold striped. Same cutesy maroon, ruffled socks.
Amber’s final outfit was just for a handful of quick photos. This is a new trend that I have seen emerging in the past few years. “Senior jeans” that the girls decorate to match their school colors, and sometimes mascots. Usually they add their names, or nicknames, or even little decals of the school sports or activities. We had senior shirts when I was in high school, but this is this generation’s take on it. I love it…so cute! Amber’s jean were white and she decorated them in red and blue since those are her school’s official colors. She paired her eclectic, personalized jeans with a red, button-down sweater and white, ruffled socks. Some fun outfits, that really represented her own individual style.

This is one of my favorites from Amber’s Centaurus High senior photos. That dress is a great color on her, and really pops against the golds and greens of the background. So pretty!

Thanks Amber, what a fun session! I hope the first few months of your senior year is off to a wonderful start. Enjoy it, it goes way too fast 🙂 Next week on the blog, I am sharing a gorgeous rainy wedding in Morrison. Chelsea and Kris had such a memorable wedding day. Check back soon! In the meantime, follow my most recent work on Facebook and Instagram.
