The Barbarisi Family | Family Photos in Boulder | Chautauqua Park Colorado

I had met most of the Barbarisi family already when I captured James’ senior photos. It was great to meet the matriarch during these family photos in Boulder. This family is heading to California for a job opportunity. They have lived in Colorado for many years. The Barbarisi family is excited for new adventures in the golden state (except James who is headed to Florida). But they are sad to leave Colorado’s beautiful scenery behind. They have lived in Boulder for many years and wanted a very “Boulder” location. We decided on Chautauqua Park with its iconic flatirons. With 4 out of 5 males in the family I’m sure there are many places they would have rather have been. But they were all cooperative and we got a lot of great variety during their Chautauqua session.

Chautauqua Park is busy year round, but boy was it crazy on this spring evening. There were so many cap and gown/graduation sessions. As well as the normal hikers out for some fresh air and exercise. We made it work though, and got some great variety in their photos. We captured the picturesque flatirons and even found some patches of wildflowers. I think we got just about every grouping possible for this family of five. Individuals of each child, sibling photos, mom and kids, dad and kids, couple’s photos of mom and dad, and numerous full family photos. It was a very nice mix of fun, candid shots and smiling, formal portraits. They are a beautiful and photogenic family. I am honored to be the photographer to capture their final weeks in Colorado.

This is definitely one of my favorites from the Barbarisi family photos in Boulder. Love those great smiles, the yellow wildflowers and amazing flatirons mountains. Gorgeous!
