Today I am sharing even more CO mountain senior photos for another out-of-state class of 2026 student. Kendall and her family were so amazing to work with. I just love how these photos turned out! After chatting with Kendall and some of my other recent southern clients, these types of photos are not used for their yearbook. I found this quite interesting. At Kendall’s school everyone uses formal portraits taken at the school. Some of these schools even do the same black drape for each student, so they look completely consistent. While I don’t personally love this idea, and I am glad it’s not “a thing” in Colorado, there is one major positive for this. That is, the students that maybe cannot afford professional senior portraits, still have a nice looking photo for the yearbook. And those students don’t have to stand out in an obvious way.
This formal style of senior photos doesn’t let the student show off their individuality. So I think it’s great when students decide to do a separate session like this. Kendall’s will probably stand out even more from her peers, since she did them in our beautiful Colorado mountains! She and her family were staying in the Breckenridge area for a family vacation to kick off their summer break. They selected the always popular Sapphire Point for her session. After a ton of photos here, we also headed down the road for some photos at Windy Point Campground as well. I always love the combination of these two locations. They are five minutes apart, and you get some great variety when stopping at both of them.
Kendall wore three outfits during her mountain senior session. She started in a long, two-piece floral outfit. I loved the flutter sleeve and collar on this, it was my personal favorite of the outfits she wore. The second dress was a shorter one with two different colorful floral patterns. That made it a little more unique, it was very cute too. The final outfit was the most casual. She wore a light silver jean skirt, white cropped sweater with red accents and tan Ugg boots. She accessorized this cute outfit with red ribbons…one in her hair, and one on the back of each Ugg. How creative! Kendall looked amazing!

This is one of my favorites from Kendall’s CO mountain senior photos. I love that motion in her hair and I will never get sick of this view!

What a fun session, Kendall. Thank you so much! I hope you enjoyed your family vacation in Breckenridge. Have the best senior year and wishing you the very best afterward. Back up to Rocky Mountain National Park for my next session. Another visiting senior, Pryce from South Dakota. Check back soon!
