Myleina – Class of 2026 | Fort Collins Senior Photography | Soderberg Open Space Park

Next up on the blog, Myleina’s Fort Collins senior photography session at Soderberg Open Space Park. Myleina, such a pretty name for such a pretty girl! She is very photogenic, and I don’t think she could take a bad picture. The weather had us worried, so we ended up moving the session up to an earlier time. We dealt with some wind, but overall the conditions weren’t bad at all. This was my first time shooting at Soderberg Park. I have shot at Horsetooth Reservoir many times over the years. But I didn’t even know this little park even existed. It seemed unusual to go to Horsetooth Reservoir and not photograph any water! This park was a nice spot though, certainly a little hidden gem. And I am always glad to have new location ideas to offer to my other clients.

Soderberg Park has some cool, old rustic structures, mature trees, foothill mountain views, and expansive grassy fields. There are also some red sandstone rock formations across the road, that we captured in a few of the shots. Truly some great variety after a very short walk from the parking lot. That’s always great when we can have nice views without having to spend a bunch of time hiking.

Myleina’s four outfits provided some great variety to the session as well. She started in a lacy tube top and long, tiered skirt. She added a bouquet into some of the photos which added nice little pops of pink, green and white. The second outfit was a long, lacy white dress. This was really beautiful, fit like a glove, and was my personal favorite! The third outfit was a bit more casual. Myleina wore baggy jeans and a pale pink, spaghetti strap top. Paired with some Adidas sneakers. The first three options all incorporated lace, which is always a stunning, feminine option for a senior session. Her final outfit was a tie front white sweater with a brownish tan tank top underneath and a fold over denim skirt. Some matching brownish tan Adidas finished the outfit impeccably.

I love this one! Not everyone can pull off a serious, sassy facial expression like this so well.

What a great session! I personally loved the variety of images we captured. Next on the blog, back to South Mesa Trail for Lucy’s senior portraits. Another stunning young lady. Rainstorms were off and on throughout, but we got some really amazing stuff. Check back soon 🙂
