I have known Brandon a very long time. Either since he was a senior in high school, or right after high school. I’m old! I had briefly met Brittany one time before they got engaged. Shortly after he proposed, Brandon contacted my husband and said “No matter what, we have to have Melissa photograph our wedding”. I was absolutely thrilled! It was wonderful to work with them during their chilly winter engagement session at Mary’s Lake in Estes Park. After this great session I just knew it would be amazing to also capture their Longmont Colorado wedding photography. There wedding was held on the land of some family friends, in the rural, outskirts of Longmont. It was so generous of them to allow their home, land, and barn to be used for Brittany and Brandon’s all day wedding event.
There was so much to love about Brittany and Brandon’s wedding. They did a sweet first look beneath the giant trees. During this time they also shared some private vows together. Their “full length” ceremony was also sweet and emotional. There were equal parts tears and laughter! A couple funny moments included the ring bearers signs. One read “You could be fishing instead”. And the other said “I’m just here for the cake”. Guests also had a good laugh when the girls rode up in the bed of an old pickup truck. As a major DIY bride myself, I loved all of the awesome DIYs they incorporated throughout their wedding. They thought about every little detail! Guests especially loved the sweet “memory ladder” and the s’mores kits available during the reception.

The guys looked great and all, but the ladies were show stopping! I loved the various dresses in sage, burnt orange, beige and mauve blush. The bridesmaid bouquets on the gold hoops were another DIY, and they looked really cool. Brittany was absolutely stunning! The small sheer details of her bridal gown were really cute. I really love a long, delicate train too.

This is definitely one of my favorites from Brittany and Brandon’s Longmont Colorado wedding photography. I love that touch of fall foliage in the background, the cute white fence, and Brittany and Brandon’s expressions. Oh, and Brandon’s little booty grab is kinda funny too!

Congrats again Brittany and Brandon! It was such a beautiful and memorable day. I know not everything went perfectly (darn rain/wind storm), but I hope you look back onto your wedding day with only the fondest memories. Hopefully you also love and cherish these wedding photos for many years to come. I would love to be there to document the future milestones in your life as well. Hint, hint…give me a call when it’s time for maternity photos 😉 Thank you for allowing me to capture these photos. I know some people would want their photographer friend to just relax and be a wedding guest, but I was so honored to play this very important role in your wedding day. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Happy December friends! Let’s hope it’s the best month of the year and we end this year full of joy, peace, and loads of happy memories. I have a lot more great sessions to share with you before 2026 is upon us. Check back very soon.
