The Sharkey Family | Boulder Colorado Fall Mini Session | Coot Lake

You may remember when I said that the weather was less than ideal for my Boulder Colorado fall mini session weekend. Some of my clients had to reschedule. The Sharkey family was the first of those rescheduled sessions that I am sharing here on the blog. We did it just a few days later, at the same location, Coot Lake. The weather was so much better this time around. And we got the prettiest golden, sun-drenched skies. I know they were so relieved for the much better conditions. They loved the final results! So did I.

One of the things I look for in my mini session locations is great variety in photo spots. Coot Lake offers open fields with mountain views, trees with colorful foliage (during the fall), rustic fences, the lake and a wooden bridge. Several picturesque spots! I also look for convenient locations without too much hiking. Often I have families with young kids. We don’t want to spend the majority of our session time walking and tiring the kiddos out before we even get to the photos. The Sharkey kids were super adorable. They were definitely a little cautious around me and didn’t share give me a lot of smiles. But the cute candid moments definitely made up for it.

This is one of my favorites from the Sharkey’s Boulder Colorado fall mini session. The expressions are so cute, and the golden skies are stunning. Love it!

Thanks so much Sharkey family. It was so wonderful meeting and photographing the four of you! You are such a beautiful family and I hope to have many more opportunities to work together in the future. So what’s next here on the blog?
