Happy March friends! Spring is almost here, yet it doesn’t even seem like we had a winter. I am very excited to share Fiona’s Stanley Hotel senior photos for the first post of the new month. This was definitely the most unique senior session of the class of 2026 season. The Stanley had pretty strict rules about shooting on their property. But since Fiona and her family was staying at the hotel, and because we shot early in the morning, they allowed it. I arrived in Estes just before sunrise. The Stanley Hotel was lit up with red lights, which was definitely kinda creepy. But super cool! I was excited for the session.

The only negative of this session was it was a crazy windy morning. I would have loved to get more outdoor shots. In the hedge maze for example. But she agreed to go out for a couple minutes and we got exterior shots with the main lodge. There were some rooms inside that we weren’t allowed to shoot in, but we still got some really great variety. We spent a lot of time in the main lobby. Photos with the fireplace, piano, the vintage car, and even in the 1909 Otis elevator. We also got a bunch of photos on the stairs in the main hotel as well as the staircase in the lodge next door. We didn’t go near the infamous room 217, but we did get a few photos of Fiona in a hallway that gave major Shining vibes!

Fiona wore two outfits during her senior session. She started in jeans, a floral top with puffed sleeves, and sneakers. Next she wore a strapless, lilac dress with a cute eyelet and rouched details. She kept on her sneakers to keep the look true to her own personal style. I love Fiona’s vintage inspired bangs and glasses frames. Like they say, styles really do come back around again and again. I once had bangs just like this!

We had to get a little creepy for a few photos at least! It is the haunted Stanley Hotel after all.

This is definitely one of my favorites from Fiona’s Stanley Hotel senior photos. I really love the symmetry of this beautiful staircase, and how this lilac purple dress pops.

Thanks so much Fiona! It’s always so fun shooting sessions in new and exciting places. I loved working at the Stanley Hotel and I hope I have other opportunities to in the future as well.
