Today I am sharing beautiful Catherine’s CU Boulder grad photos. I actually did her senior photos years ago up at Brainard Lake. Check those out HERE. I was really thrilled to hear from her again for her college senior session as well. She is a little older, a little more mature, just as beautiful! Catherine was planning on traveling, and had a busy schedule in the spring. So she actually had me do her session pretty early, in February. With the short dresses, you would never guess it was still technically wintertime. But Colorado gave us pretty much no winter this year, so the weather wasn’t too bad at all. Catherine kept things pretty simple with two dresses. A LBD and a LWD (little black dress/little white dress)! She wore nude heels and sandals throughout the session and added her cap, gown, tassel and sash here and there during the session.
We covered a lot of ground, specifically on the north side of the main campus. This is the prettiest area of campus, in my opinion. We met near Varsity Pond. I photographed a bunch of shots of Catherine on the beautiful stone bridge and under the arches of the language arts building. Then we headed towards Old Main. I absolutely love the three spiral staircases at Old Main. I knew they were doing construction on that building for years. We get over there and discovered that they completely removed them. Insert crying emoji here! I really wonder why though, they were so iconic!
Catherine and I captured photos by Macky Auditorium, the stairs by the theater and dance building, the Ralphie buffalo statue, Norlin Library and the field by Norlin at sunset. Catherine may not have had classes in some of these buildings, but she cared more about pretty architecture and photo vignettes than specific buildings. She largely just let me lead and went with the flow! But I do know campus fairly well. I went to CU Boulder as well and then continued working there after I graduated.

She may not have any of her graduation garb on in this shot. But oh well, it’s still one of my favorites from Catherine’s CU Boulder grad photos.

Thanks again Catherine, it was so fun working with you! Wishing you a bright and beautiful future. Next on the blog, Bryanna and Cody’s amazing (but windy!) Lionscrest Manor wedding. This was my last wedding at this venue before it went under new ownership and got a major renovation. Check back soon!
