The Larsen Family + 1 on the Way | Spring Maternity Photos in Colorado | Mount Falcon West

I have had the pleasure of photographing the Larsen family so many times now. This wasn’t the easiest of sessions, but we managed to still get so many awesome images. It was a little bit challenging because the kids just weren’t feeling the photos much that day. They were silly and energetic and so we tried to just embrace that! They were also feeling pretty chilly, and pretty quickly changed into warm sweatshirts and beanies. Their mama was a little bummed since she spent so much time deciding on their springtime outfits, but everyone was happy in the end. We met up at Mount Falcon West for their spring maternity photos in Colorado. I have been to several popular mountain locations with this sweet family. This was our first session together at this location. It worked out beautifully and we got some great variety!

For this third pregnancy Kailey and Leland decided not to find out what they were having. They have the boy thing down and had lots of boy toys and clothes. So they would definitely be happy with a third baby boy. But then again, Kailey was feeling pretty outnumbered and a baby girl could be a fun change. Lashes or staches? Touchdowns or tutus? Now rewind it back to the maternity and family session in Indian Hills. Kailey wore three different outfits for her bump photos. The majority were in a cream colored, floral dress. It was very cute on her, ruffled sleeves and off-the-shoulder were the perfect, feminine touches. Then she borrowed one of my maternity gowns. She wore it briefly during all three of her maternity sessions now. Even though she didn’t know the baby’s gender, she still wanted her pregnant belly in this gown. I am always happy to lend out my dresses, otherwise they just sit in my closet collecting dust. And finally she did a few quick bare belly shots in jeans and a white sports bra.

Kailey looked beautiful in everything she wore. She always makes pregnancy look so good! Her second maternity session will probably always be my favorite. We got such cute shots, in a picture-perfect sestting, and then ended with some amazing, dramatic fog. You can check those out HERE.

This is definitely one of my favorites from these spring maternity photos in Colorado. The color of the Sew Trendy dress really pops, and Kailey looks stunning in it!

Thanks so much Larsen family and congrats on becoming a family of five! I love documenting all of these special milestones in your lives. It’s been so amazing to watch these boys grow and their personalities shape. Looking forward to watching Colin grow and change with his brothers too.
