Today I am sharing the Boulder Colorado engagement photos of my cousin-in-law, Chelsea. She and Patrick have been having a long distance relationship for a while now. Patrick lived here in Colorado, and Chelsea was still back in Arizona. She had recently moved here and they are planning for a winter wedding in December. We actually tried to do this session multiple times. Life kept getting in the way. So glad we finally found a date that worked for all of us. And I am so relieved that the weather cooperated. Spring in Colorado can be so unpredictable. It can be hot and sunny, or it can be snowy and windy! We met up at Coot Lake, and they just loved this location. We got great shots in the mountain field, on the bridge, leaning against the fences, and they even cuddled while wadding in Boulder Reservoir.
Chelsea and Patrick each wore three outfits during their engagement session. They started in black tops and dark jeans. Next, Chelsea wore a cute and unique black blazer with sheer and faux pearl sleeves. Patrick wore black pants and a plaid button down shirt. I think these were my personal favorite! Finally, they ended in a denim dress with cowgirl boots on Chelsea. Patrick added a little color in there with a red and off-white plaid button down shirt. Paired with dark jeans and cowboy boots to match his bride-to-be.
I love all of the great variety we got during their engagement session. Sweet, romantic moments. Playful and fun shots, candid movement, and plenty of smiling at the camera shots. This was extra special because Chelsea is one of the members of my husband’s family that I am closest to. She was still a teenager when my husband and I got married. Now 16 years later, it’s her turn to be the bride! We don’t see each other often, but she is such a sweetheart. I am so happy for her. I wish them so much happiness and love for a lifetime to come!
