So crazy how time flies! Since capturing these Longmont CO family pictures the Venturella family is about to add another member. Alyssa is in the final weeks of her pregnancy with a precious baby girl. But yeah, I always get so behind on the blog during busy season. Better late than never sharing sessions over here. I have worked with the Venturellas several times now. First their engagement photos, then wedding, a couple’s session at the ice castles of Dillon. Then family sessions in fall of 2021 and 2022. They are always so great to work with…so kind and photogenic too!
We met up at Sandstone Ranch in Longmont for their fall mini session. I love when clients select this location. Selfishly because it is only 10 minutes from home. But also, it’s pretty, and offers a lot of variety. Sandstone Ranch has great ponds, a stream flowing through it, mature trees, an 1880s rustic barn, and bridge. There are distant mountain views, so maybe not ideal for someone that really wants a mountain session. But otherwise, a great option year round!

We were late enough into the fall season that the leaves had all fallen off the trees. Although we were missing the colorful foliage, we still took advantage of the blanket of crunch leaves on the ground. Those are sure great too!
