Krista + Brett | Colorado Mountain Engagement Photography | St. Malo

Next up for my TBT “From the Archives” series…Krista and Brett!  Perhaps you remember them from their beautiful Lionscrest wedding, that was featured on Rocky Mountain Bride, and on the Frosted Petticoat.  For their Colorado mountain engagement photography session we went to St. Malo, and the surrounding property in Allenspark.  Since Brett was living in Canada at the time, we weren’t able to do their engagement photos until the day before the wedding!  I am so glad they still decided to do them, because it was one of my favorite engagement sessions to date 🙂  These two are gorgeous, and so very sweet!  They brought along their little dog Henry, and their videographer Adam Fusion Films even documented our session, so they could share this and their wedding video with the guests at their Canadian reception.

Krista moved up to Canada after their wedding as well, and is adjusting to life on the farm!  They are expecting their first baby this summer.  I am so happy for them 🙂  I am sure their little one will be a natural in front of the camera too…it seems to run in the family (even their pup)!  Speaking of “little ones”, be sure to make it all the way through this post.  At the end of their shoot, we came upon a moose and her twins!  That’s pretty rare!  She was NOT happy to see us at all, and was so protective of them.  We kept our distance for sure, but I had my telephoto lens on me and was able to capture a few photos.

I have known Krista for a very long time.  She and I danced at the same dance studio growing up…although I am several years older :/  We reconnected in our 20’s when we danced for the Colorado Eagles.  Brett was a star player for the Eagles, and that is where their love story began!  It was truly an honor working with them.  Not only was their wedding stunning, but they, and their friends and family, were some of the nicest people I have worked with.  It was such a wonderful weekend with these lovebirds 🙂

Congrats on your growing family Krista and Brett!  I hope life in Canada is treating you great 🙂
