Leslie + Trip | Breckenridge Colorado Engagement Photographs | Ski Resort Engagement

Leslie and Trip’s Breckenridge Colorado engagement photographs are definitely up there as some of my favorites! These two were so wonderful to work with 🙂 This was a very last minute shoot. They made a very quick trip out to Colorado, I had some availability. Thankfully my wonderful sister could watch Dominic, and we met in the mountains. Now, I shoot in Breckenridge A LOT (if you haven’t noticed)! But this was actually my first time going to the ski resort itself for photos. Although they weren’t running the chairlifts this time of year, they still wanted to get them in the photos. They obviously run them in the winter during ski season. And they run them in the summer for a scenic ride, or for people to hike/mountain bike down. But none of the resorts were running them in the fall. Who knew? You learn something new everyday!

Next, we headed to…you guessed it!! Sapphire Point 🙂 We had the most amazing fall weather. It was beautiful and mild, the sky was very blue. I am in love with the way the photos turned out. And then talk about a gorgeous, super-in-love couple! Leslie and Trip were married in Mississippi, earlier this year. And Trip was planning a surprise honeymoon for his lovely bride. How awesome is that?! They had briefly lived in the Denver area. And they thought Breckenridge Colorado engagement photographs would be a good way to remember their wonderful time here.

We drove down the road a few minutes to the Windy Point Campground for a few more photos with Lake Dillon in the background. Since it was late September, they had hoped for some colorful fall foliage as well. In the high country, we were a week or two past peek, and most of the trees had lost their leaves. I had done a little scouting beforehand and did find a super colorful little spot near the campground. But, when I say little, I mean LITTLE!! That’s one of the great things about photography, though. You can take a little patch of golden, yellow trees, and make it still look epic in the photos 😉 This is exactly what we did! Since this was technically the 4th stop of the day, we were starting to lose the good light. The fall foliage photos were brief, but added some nice, colorful variety!

This is definitely one of my favorites from their Breckenridge Colorado engagement photographs. Such joy! And those mountain views…that sun…this couple! I love it all 🙂
