These neon light photoshoots have become increasingly popular, especially on Instagram. I wanted to try my hand at it. So I asked Sarah to shoot with me again. We had to reschedule numerous times because of finals for her, illness, etc. But we finally made these Colorado night senior photos happen, and I am in love with the results! While I didn’t expect people to be knocking my door down, booking these sessions. It’s always really fun doing something creative and different! I don’t get enough of that with my busy schedule 🙂 I found some really affordable little neon signs on Amazon and at the home decor store At Home.
Along with the neon signs, I had a thought that perhaps glow-in-the-dark makeup, under a blacklight, could photograph really cool too. The makeup was a bit of challenge to apply! Just because Sarah had to put some makeup on, then shine the blacklight and see how it looked. It took sometime, but came together beautifully.
You may recognize Sarah, if you follow my blog. She and I spent a chilly, completely gorgeous winter afternoon together in Estes Park. You can see those skiing senior pictures HERE. I promise it’s a good one too! For this session, like the skiing one, we ended with some smoke bomb fun. I had one green smoke bomb left, from a purchase I made several years ago. It seemed like we could get some unique shots with that at night, and I was right.
This is definitely one of my favorites of these Colorado night senior photos! Excuse my language, but Sarah looks so badass!
I mean how cool is this makeup, and the blacklight stickers I found?! Not everyone can rock some neon yellow lipstick like this. Sarah, as always looks stunning!
Thanks for the fun shoot, Sarah! I know it may have been weird hanging out in my messy, unfinished basement. Hopefully the photos were worth it, though 🙂 I also hope 2020 treats you amazingly well!
