Sunday evening already…why do the weekends have to fly by so quickly?! Although I am excited for this week to start, because my kiddo goes back to preschool tomorrow. I am sure looking forward to having nearly 9 more hours of work time during the week. He’s been out for 2 1/2 months, so I am pumped! Here is my final blog post for January, the adorable Lowery family. 12 posts this month…not too shabby! I have done numerous photo shoots with the Lowery family over the years. It’s crazy how much the kids have grown since then! This session may have been my favorite yet…the location sure was! For their Colorado mountain family photos we traveled up to Brainard Lake. This is such an amazing Colorado location, right in my backyard. Well really it isn’t that close, but anywhere that has great views like this, without having to drive I-70, is a winner in my book 😉
The one negative I have experienced with Brainard Lake is that it can be very windy. We totally lucked out on this afternoon though…it was calm and gorgeous! There was some colorful fall foliage with the aspen grove right near the entrance, and we sure took advantage of that. We also got plenty of shots of the lake and mountain views. There was a giant piece of driftwood on the shore and that made for a fun prop with the kids. Finally, we spent a few minutes near the little forest stream (and itty bitty waterfall). I just love how one location offers so much gorgeous variety. Brainard, you are quickly becoming a favorite of mine!

Thank you Lowery family, for supporting my business for many years! It’s fun to watch the kiddos grow and change each time I see you. Each of their unique, enjoyable personalities have really come out since the last time we had worked together. What a fun, cute bunch!
