I had the best time with Malaika for her Greeley senior pictures! These were different than any other senior photos I have done, in that Malaika was graduating from college, and not high school. A few months before her graduation from the University of Northern Colorado, she gifted herself a professional photo shoot. What an awesome idea! She was nothing short of amazing to work with. We had a really fun time walking all over downtown Greeley and shooting wherever we saw an interesting location. I really haven’t shot in Greeley all that much…I sure hope that changes! A few family sessions years ago, and Jessie and Andrew’s wedding in this same downtown area more recently. But that’s about it!
Malaika chose three different outfits for her session. She looked equally stunning in everything she wore! She kept on her fun hoop earrings for all three 🙂 Malaika had a good balance between dressy and casual. All three outfits were on trend and fit well while sitting or standing…which is what I always recommend. This allows me to pose you in lots of different ways without clothing restrictions. There was definitely no shortage of bright colors during this session. Between Malaika’s colorful, patterned outfits, and all these vibrant wall murals…joyful color abound! My “color loving” photographer’s heart was very happy!
How stinking cool is this alley we found behind the Rio Grande mexican restaurant? So full of color and cool wall murals 🙂
This is one of my favorites from Malaika’s Greeley senior pictures. I just love the overhead lights of this alley…so cool!
Thanks again Malaika! I hope you had as much fun during this session as I did. Hopefully you have kept that bright smile on your face throughout all of this pandemic craziness. I am so sorry you had to graduate from college during these covid times. Wishing you a beautiful and successful future…I have no doubt there are great things in store for you!
“There is nothing more beautiful than finding your course as you believe you bob aimlessly in the current. Wouldn’t you know that your path was there all along, waiting for you to knock, waiting for you to become. This path does not belong to your parents, your teachers, your leaders, or your lovers. Your path is your character defining itself more and more everyday like a photograph coming into focus.”
