Happy December! I cannot believe we are already in the final month of this year. This unseasonably warm weather sure doesn’t make it feel like winter and Christmas will soon be upon us 🙂 What a year it’s been! Normally by December my schedule is getting very quite, but not this year. I still have numerous portrait sessions, and one more elopement on my schedule. So glad to be busy, but desperately need some downtime too to get caught up on some administrative work, like blogging. My first blog post of the month is Taylor and Cody’s the Lodge at Breckenridge wedding photos.
Although this may not have been the wedding Taylor and Cody initially planned, it was a beautiful, intimate wedding regardless. Due to covid regulations in Summit County in 2020, Taylor and Cody downsized their wedding celebration. They moved their reception to a local restaurant, for a delicious meal with their closest friends and families. Cake was cut, speeches were made, tears and laughter filled the air!
It was not their plan A, but the day was so full of love and joy, it truly did not matter.
Some of my favorite parts of Taylor and Cody’s wedding day were their custom face mask favors, with their wedding date and initials on them. Also, Taylor’s vintage wedding gown, her fur shrug, and the bridesmaids’ shawls were all very elegant and beautiful. Finally, the ceremony triangle arch, and all of their lush floral arrangements were simply gorgeous!
When I first got to the lodge I spotted these stunning wildflowers, I KNEW we had to shoot over here! Event if for just a few shots 🙂 Absolutely love how these turned out! These are amongst some of my favorite wedding portraits from the day.
Thank you so much Taylor and Cody! It was such a pleasure to work with you both, and your closest loved ones. I hope this first year and a half of marriage…(in a pandemic!), have treated you well. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together! I hope to have your sweet faces in front of my lens again someday 🙂
