Today on the blog, three generations of the lovely Reed family! I absolutely loved capturing these Longmont extended family photos at Sandstone Ranch. These four strong and beautiful women were an absolute joy to photograph. We got a great mix of posed portraits and candid moments during our evening photography session. The year before this family session, I captured senior photos for the youngest of the bunch, Haley. She had also selected Sandstone Ranch for her Skyline High School senior session. It’s such a great location, she decided to bring her family along for another shoot LOL!
Sandstone Ranch is a unique Longmont setting. It is a great mix of nature and history, in an easily walkable area. This historic property was first homesteaded in 1860 by the Coffin family. The property is on State and National Historic Registers, which is pretty cool! We are lucky to be allowed to access and even photograph on such a special property. Families like the Reed ladies can make their own new memories on this historic land. I hope they keep laughing together and sharing happy times with one another for many years to come.
This is one of my favorites from these Longmont extended family photos. I love these four bright smiles, the rustic Colorado setting, and the sun breaking through the clouds!
Thanks again Reed family! It was wonderful to have you all in front of my camera for your family session. You clearly have a very close and special bond. It was a great pleasure to document that bond! Hopefully we will have an opportunity to work together again someday. On the blog next, another football themed session. Check back soon for Dominic’s Holy Family High School and Boulder session.
For another Sandstone Ranch family session that I loved, check out the Laughlin family HERE!
