Andrea + Nick | Halcyon Denver Wedding Photos | Cherry Creek Wedding Inspiration

Today I am bringing you the stylish and chic Andrea and Nick! Their Halcyon Denver wedding photos were a lot of fun to capture. Although this was technically a winter wedding, we only went outdoors for about 5 minutes with just the couple. There was nothing but blue skies and sunshine, so only the chilly temps felt like winter. The couple decided to stay indoors for the remainder of the event. This is always a unique challenge to keep things creative while being solely indoors.

I have actually shot at the Halcyon Hotel Cherry Creek before, but this was my first wedding here. Years ago I attended a high school senior photography conference (Conference 12) at this hotel, so I was at least familiar with the space. It’s a cool, modern hotel, just minutes from the Cherry Creek mall, and other great shopping. It’s definitely a great location! I also love all of the contemporary decor inside, and we were sure to incorporate that into the photos. Hopefully I will have other opportunities to photograph at the Halcyon again in the future.

Some of my favorite parts of Andrea and Nick’s wedding day included their wedding attire. She had a gorgeous, curve hugging dress, complete with simple, black Christian Louboutin heels. It’s not unusual to have a fashionable bride, but Nick was probably my most fashionable groom ever. He rocked a great suit, stylish loafers, and completed the look with a Louis Vuitton tie. Very classy couple…looking sharp for their black tie event! I also loved their sweet first look. It was full of laughs, hugs, and even some tears. Finally, I loved the reception space at the Halcyon and the very fun, lively dance floor at their reception. Everyone had a fabulous time letting loose!

Thanks again Andrea and Nick! It was great working with you guys, and all of your family and friends. What a classy, black tie affair in the heart of Cherry Creek!
