Monica + Chris | Loveland Colorado Wedding Photos | Big Thompson Canyon Elopement

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Wishing you a beautiful holiday with friends and family. Today on the blog I am sharing Monica and Chris’ Loveland Colorado wedding photos. I had not met these two in person prior to the wedding day, and not going to lie I was a bit nervous. They were having an intimate micro wedding at a spot they found along the Big Thompson River between Loveland and Estes Park. All I had was a mile marker number, so I arrived early so I could scope things out and get an idea of what I was working with. They were running a little late, and I didn’t have good cell service…I was getting nervous! But cars started pulling up after a little bit, and things got started quickly after that.

We started with a quick ceremony on the dock next to the river. They immediately shared a sweet first dance on dock, a group photos with all attendees, and a bouquet toss for the single ladies. We captured some family photos and then released all of the guests to go warm up in their cars. Then I had some one on one time with the couple for some romantic couples portraits. It was a windy and chilly day, but they didn’t let that damper their spirits. I love the images we captured together!

This is definitely my favorite of their Loveland Colorado wedding photos. The scenery is just stunning, and it’s such a sweet and peaceful moment between the newlyweds. It’s almost as if they are the only two in the world!

I really love the wedding day outfits these two selected out. Fairly non-traditional. Especially Monica being in an off-shoulder pale peach dress, with teal, white and green silk floral bouquet. She added a white fur shrug to complete the look. That was perfect because spring in the Colorado mountains, is still quite chilly. Chris looked dapper in a blue suit and bowtie, complete with a newsboy cap (not sure if there is a better term for it). Beautiful couple in the beautiful mountains!

Thanks again Monica and Chris, I hope married life is treating you great so far! It was great working with you guys and I hope you love and cherish these photos for years to come.
