Another day, another new blog post! Today the Koch’s Colorado family maternity portraits in Rocky Mountain National Park. This session was in the works for nearly a year. Brittany knew she and her hubby wanted another baby, knew they wanted their maternity session in RMNP, and knew they wanted me to capture the photo shoot! At the time of inquiry, they weren’t even pregnant yet. I am so glad this came together so beautifully and Brittany’s session became a reality. Especially because they drove all the way from Colorado Springs to Estes Park for their session, and because they moved to Guam shortly after the baby’s arrival. What a great photo session to remember Colorado by!
We started their session at the always popular Sprague Lake. What a beautiful early June evening in the beautiful Colorado mountains. I absolutely love the outfits that Brittany picked out for her family…especially those precious kiddos! The girls’ burnt orange dresses were so pretty. And their little man looked so dapper in his shorts, suspenders, and bowtie. Brittany wore a vibrant marigold yellow, long maternity dress for the photos at Sprague Lake. She finished the look with a cute, black hair flower. A glowing, stunning mama! We were sure to get a lot of variety in the photos before moving onto our next location. We got individuals of Brittany (well her and baby girl in the belly!), she and Karl together, she and each of her other kiddos together, and of course the entire family. More of the same over groupings at Moraine Park. Here Brittany wore one of the maternity dresses that I offer in my client closet. I am so glad she did…she was the first to wear this periwinkle, off shoulder dress! I have nine maternity dresses in my client closet, but most clients don’t take me up on the offer.
These are definitely two of my favorites from their Colorado family maternity portraits. I actually love both versions…regular exposure and the silhouette photo! What a cute family!
Thanks Brittany and family. I enjoyed working together and I hope life as a family of six is treating you great! On the blog next, Kelly and Sam’s Mount Falcon West late spring engagement photos. Check back often, I have so many great sessions and weddings to still share in the coming months. Enjoy your weekend, friends.
