Kennedy and her family were visiting from out of state and decided they really wanted a Colorado mountain senior photography session while they were visiting. They selected Devil’s Thumb Ranch for the session, and although it was a super sunny day, it worked out very well. I loved all of the variety we were able to capture together!
This family was great to work with, so kind and understanding. This ended up being about a month prior to my surgery, and I had developed “foot drop” at this point. If you aren’t familiar, foot drop (or drop foot) is the inability to lift the front part of the foot. This causes the toes to drag along the ground while walking (Web MD). Foot drop can cause falls (which I was doing frequently at this time), so I was having to be extra cautious when I was walking. Both of Kennedy’s parents have experience as physical therapists. Therefore they were familiar with foot drop and were so patient with me. At one point Kennedy even gave me her arm to hold to walk through a field of grasses since the ground was so unstable. Such great people!
Kennedy is a beautiful girl…inside and out! She would make a trash bag look good, I bet 🙂 She decided on three different outfits for her Colorado mountain senior photography session. First, she wore a fitted white dress with cap sleeves. Next, she changed into a unique, long floral dress. This was cute and unique (my personal favorite). Her final outfit was the most casual, and pretty simple and neutral. It was a white cropped tank top and ripped jeans. The real showstopper in my opinion is that hair though! Kennedy’s hair is thick and voluminous with nice highlighted areas and perfectly curled. I wish I had great hair LOL!
This is definitely one of my favorites from Kennedy’s senior photos. Love the outfit, scenery, pose and glowing smile!
Kennedy, I hope your senior year is going amazingly well…you are halfway there! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors. Tomorrow on the blog, Brooke and Tyler’s Colorado Springs engagement photos at Garden of the Gods. That was sure a good one…check back soon!
