The Polston Family | Estes Park Family Photography Session | Sprague Lake RMNP

Happy Monday friends…thanks for stopping by my blog! Today we honor the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.” – MLK. Today I am sharing with you an Estes Park family photography session with the lovely Polston family. Kylie was so in love with the photos of Sprague Lake that we did not just one, but two sessions there in 2022. This first one was mostly a summer family session, but with a couple pregnancy announcement shots in there. Not to worry, those gender reveal canons were photoshopped in. We didn’t want to litter in the national park, and I wasn’t sure if these constituted an incendiary device either. It wasn’t worth the risk! I will share their second session in the coming months. That was an epic winter maternity session on the frozen lake…so pretty!

We lucked out with a truly gorgeous evening in the park. The weather was great and the wildlife was out in full force! We saw multiple moose and elk, even same babies. That made the session even more special and memorable. Kylie’s favorite spot at Sprague Lake is the wooden dock. So we were sure to do a ton of photos on the dock! We also took advantage of the wooden bridges and bench, they splashed in the cold snowmelt water, and we got lots of colorful mountain views.

This is one of the first photos we captured, and definitely a favorite from their Estes Park family photography session. Such a cute, candid moment! Do you notice the moose way out there in the lake too?

Thanks so much Polston family, for two great sessions in 2022. I loved working together and getting to know you all better. I hope life as a family of four now is going wonderfully.
