Today on the blog, Amanda’s Boulder CO senior portrait photography session at South Mesa Trail. Amanda and her softball team were visiting Colorado for a softball tournament. They really wanted a mountain session while they were visiting. We basically had one day to make this happen before their games started. I was, admittedly, a little bit nervous because our weather has been so crazy this year! With severe storms what feels like every day, we totally lucked out with really great weather for her session. We even lucked out with some wildflowers in bloom. I have shot at South Mesa a ton over the years, but really have never seen these pale purple flowers before. We were sure to take full advantage of them! An almost perfect session. The only real negative was the absolutely insane mosquitoes, especially around the wildflowers.
Amanda chose two outfits for her class of 2024 session. The first was casual in tan pants, and a white, fitted tank top. She is such a beauty! And so natural in front of the camera. After a bunch of photos in the open fields with the mountain backdrop. As well as photos with the stone and wood budding, she changed into her second outfit. She went a little dressier with this look, in a pale yellow sundress. In this outfit we captured images with the cool wooden bridge, and the river in the background. We finished alongside all those mosquitoes in the field of wildflowers. I was so pleased with all of the amazing images we captured! Amanda and her mom had to rush off to get to their concert at Red Rocks…such a jam-packed vacation. I hope you will cherish these photos always, and it will bring back happy memories from your Colorado vacation.
This is definitely one of my favorites from Amanda’s Boulder CO senior portrait photography session. I love that view, the patch of yellow wildflowers, those gorgeous locks, and that lovely, joyful smile!
Thanks so much Amanda. Enjoy the rest of your summer and have the most amazing senior year! It was so fun having you in front of my camera for your senior pictures. Wishing you all the very best playing collegiate softball at South Dakota State University. On the blog next, Aly and Alex’s wedding portraits from River Bend in Lyons. We got some really awesome stuff for this sweet, young couple! Be sure to check back 🙂
