Aly + Alex | River Bend Colorado Wedding | Lyons CO Photographer

A few days before their temple wedding ceremony, I captured these River Bend Colorado wedding portraits for Aly and Alex. They are such a sweet and beautiful young couple! It had been several years since I shot photos at River Bend, back on Jenna and Aric’s picture perfect day. I hope it won’t be long until the next time I shoot there! It’s such a great spot, and so close to home. It would be wonderful to have future weddings here to look forward to. We started their photo session with Alex standing next to the St. Vrain River. Aly stayed in the car until he was in place. She snuck up behind and they shared an emotional first look together. Alex had one of the best reactions to seeing his bride that I have seen in a long while! Who can blame him though. Aly looked stunning! We got so much great variety during their pre-wedding portraits. Most wedding days don’t allow for this much couple’s portrait time. We were nice and relaxed as a result, and it was really a lot of fun! We captured photos at various locations along the river, along the wooden fence, with the mature trees, and even on the stone steps. And whenever I see a long veil, you just know I have to create some dramatic imagery.

I don’t think I could pick JUST one! But this is definitely one of my favorites from Aly and Alex’s River Bend Colorado wedding pictures. Even the cute little bunny joined in with this happy couple!
