This has been the year of siblings! What I mean by that, is that I have photographed a ton of students this season where I had also captured senior photos for their older sibling in years past. Emilio’s Skyline High senior photography session started just like his brother Alejandro’s session, on the baseball field at the high school. We got some great shots in the dugout, around home plate, and with his baseball glove and ball. He wore his team jersey, as well as his lettermen jacket, with jeans and a simple white tee. After some fun baseball themed photos, we headed over to Coot Lake and Boulder Reservoir for some more images in a nature setting.
Emilio has such a vibrant, genuine smile! A lot of senior guys are a challenge to photograph, and especially to get a natural smile or laugh. Emilio made it easy, and I love the way the photos turned out! At Coot Lake we got photos on the wooden bridge, next to the water, and in the golden, open fields with the beautiful mountain backdrop. We even lucked out with some pretty golden hour light and sunset colors. If only every session could be this smooth and easy-going!

We just had to recreate my favorite photo from his brother’s session. Totally worth the extra work in photoshop to add the graduation year to the scoreboard. And OF COURSE the home team has to “win”… so I swapped the “home” and “guests” too!

This is definitely one of my favorites from Emilio’s Skyline High senior photography session. I love when we manage to get some sunset color in the sky above a beautiful mountain lake!

Emilio, I am wishing you the best senior year and in whatever your future holds afterward! Thanks for allowing me to capture these photos for you. On the blog next, Morgan and Seth’s rustic, farm wedding….including the bride’s family’s cows! Went all the way up to Crook, Colorado for that one. Check back soon 🙂
