Ruth – Class of 2023 | Centennial Senior Photos | 17 Mile House Farm Park

Today on the blog I am bringing you Ruth’s Centennial senior photos from the 17 Mile House Farm Park. I have photographed Ruth before, a few times. But these have always been photos with her large family. On this afternoon it was all about her, celebrating her recent high school graduation! It was a windy Colorado afternoon, but we managed to get a bunch of awesome stuff.

Ruth kept it simple with two outfits. First, a flutter sleeve white top and cropped jeans. She finished off this outfit with some adorable, studded boots. She kept the top and boots on, but changed into a light green, floral skirt. So pretty! Ruth’s mom is a flower farmer and so it was fitting that they brought along some beautiful sunflowers. What a feminine addition to her senior session…I loved it! Flowers don’t have to just be for brides. Speaking of props, Ruth also wanted to incorporate her Captain America shield for some shots. I was happy to oblige. It’s always wonderful making these shoots personal for each senior!

I have shot at the “outskirts” of the 17 Mile House Farm Park before, but this was the first time taking full advantage of all the photo ops this location offers. We started by the farm’s old windmill and red stone silo. We captured photos in the golden, open fields, on the rustic front porch, against the fences and with the barns and other farm structures. There was even an old piece of farm equipment that I shot through for a unique capture. While you don’t get any mountains or water at this historical farm, this is still a wonderful location that I hope to work at again and again.

This is one of my favorites from Ruth’s Centennial senior photos. I love her great smile, and the simplicity with all of the white.
