Mackenzie + Adrian | Mead Colorado Couples Photos | Highland Lake

Here it is! The first post from my annual fall mini sessions, which I hosted a few weeks ago. This was my second time working with Mackenzie and Adrian. These Mead Colorado couples photos were way warmer than their last session up in Idaho Springs. These two are such a joy to spend time with, and photograph too. They laugh a lot, have so much fun together, and have an abundance of love for one another.

I held my fall mini sessions at Highland Lake in Mead. I had only shot here once, when I first started photography. It was just a couple minutes away from my previous home, otherwise I would have never even knew it existed. I did a lot of location scouting the week of my minis and decided on this location. It had some colorful fall foliage, distant mountain views, wooden fences, a very cool downed tree, and even the church that was featured in Die Hard 2 LOL! I told most of my clients about it that day, but Adrian was the only one that seemed really impressed and actually remembered it from the movie.

They kept their outfits casual and cute, for their couple’s session. They both wore dark jeans and cream colored tops. Mackenzie added an adorable plaid peacoat over top. Last year they practically froze up above 10,000 feet during their session. This year was super sunny and warm, they were probably pretty toasty But such is Colorado during the fall…you never know what you are going to get!

This is definitley one of my favorites from Mackenzie and Adrian’s Mead Colorado couples photos. This tree is super cool, and I just love the colorful fall scene, and dock in the background.
