The Larsen Family | Family Photographer in Boulder | South Mesa Trail

Oh how I love working with the Larsen family! I’ve got to photograph so many special moments for them. Kailey and Leland’s winter engagement, wedding, two maternity sessions, in-home newborn sessions, family sessions, and Lucas’ first birthday cake smash. This time I was their family photographer in Boulder at the always popular South Mesa Trail. It was especially lush and green for Colorado, during their late spring session. Their outfits complimented the colorful backdrop so wonderfully! Kailey often stresses about their outfits (many of us mamas do). But she knocked it out of the park! I especially loved her gorgeous mauve, cap sleeve dress. Her three guys looked great too. Andrew in a little denim romper. Lucas and Leland in shorts and polo shirts, each incorporating some navy blue.

The Larsen boys are so great in front of the camera! Some kiddos make it REALLY challenging to get smiles, or even simply looking at my camera. These two are quite cooperative…hopefully that continues as they get older! I really love the mix of candids and smiley, posed family photos. Sweet, precious moments between brothers. As well as plenty of fun….parents swinging the boys, hanging upside-down. I even loved the simple moments of the boys watching the river flow under the wooden bridge. I was sure to capture it all! It was a great, “well rounded” session. Probably one of my favorite family sessions in recent times. I look forward to working with the Larsen family again during the fall. For some additional family photos, as well as little Andrew’s cake smash session as well. I hope those go just as smoothly!

This is definitely one of the favorites I captured as the Larsen’s family photographer in Boulder. I love this candid moment between parents and kiddos. Sweet and fun, colorful and beautiful, all in one!
